This project was important to me because I chose to do a scene from everything that is happening in the world. The topic of racism is still brought up today and I decided to discuss my opinion of it in this piece. Trayvon Martin and many other innocent African american boys that have been innocently killed, inspired this piece. I decided to show to sides, the sides of an African American and white prejudice police officers. The scene I chose showed an dead body and careless police offices, seen by a little boy. The little boy's point of view was very important to me because it shows what all America sees. This is injustice, and for a little boy to witness this and grow up in a world like this is not fair nor right to me. My biggest fear was for my child to see the scary world we live in. I depicted the dog and broken fire hydrant, to show the grusom parts of what happened in the past, and what can happen now. I have marchers and protesters on the outside, demonstrating a peaceful strategy rather than the riots that have been happening. I do not agree with it and decided to not put it in the piece. This piece was so important and made me really think about what is going on in this world, and I don't like it.
