In order to accomplish the project of the Reliquary Box, you must have an object that is memorable to you, build something that represents it around the object, and the object must be able to be taken in and out of the box. I chose a video tape that me and my family were in. The tape was the first home-video tape we had ever made, and it has us acting out things together. To surround the tape I chose an old-school video camera. I built the video camera out of card-board and hot glue. I then made a compartment for my tape. I also used cardboard and hot-glue for that. The hardest part was for the compartment to have a door that will slide in and out. I accomplished this by using cardboard to. Lastly I colored the camera. I did not want to do a plain black camera, so I decided to ombre the colors of red and gold. I fist colored the whole camera white. Then I galaxy painted the camera by using water, acrylic paint, and a toothbrush. I mixed different color paint and water together and painted it on my box. Then I used white paint on a toothbrush and splattered it on my box.
