This project was called an corpse project. In order to accomplish this project, there would have to be a point of change, cooperation of a drawing by another person, and using two types of medium. I decided to go really deep with this project. So I decided to depict the life and death of breast cancer, in respect to the women in my family that have came across having breast cancer. So I used a hour glass as the time of living and it is carried by a skeleton. My person drew chains, which I used as breaking away from the limited time of living. The point of change would be the breast cancer ribbon at the end of the broken chain, representing being free of it all. The two mediums I used were, carving and oil painting. After coming up with the idea I sketched a drawing depicting what I wanted. Afterwards I changed the wings from my sketch as skeleton wings, keeping the feel of the skeleton body. After that change, I up-scaled the picture onto a large piece of carving material. I then began to carve my piece, by how I wanted certain objects to stand out. I then, burned the carved marks and insides of the eyes and nose, which gave the drawing a darker tone. Lastly, I used a hot glue gun to make it seem like the skull had slobber that was a result in trying to grasp the breast cancer ribbon. So I painted the slobber from red to pink.
